Stainless Steel 420B (1.4028) Medical Alloy
Stainless Steel 420B is an ESR remelted martensitic steel with a low Sulphur content and a higher Carbon content than that of 420A. This grade can be hardended by quenching, including a secondary sub-zero quench which, along with fine polishing and passivating, emparts it with its best corrosion resistance to water and steam. It is well adapted for the production fo all medical instruments.
